Still-Life Photographs with a Tasty Touch
Posted by Gestalten—07/2017

There’s a lot to like in this series of photographs by Canadian photographer Melissa Gamache: the colors are light and flirty, the composition juxtaposes harsh textures and soft edges, and each image is a constellation of fresh and dried fruit from around the world. Titled Arrangements, the series is a fashion-friendly take on the classic boquet of fruit or fresh-cut flowers. It’s not your mother’s farmer’s market either: from heads of riveting Romanesco to beautiful blood oranges, the produce pairs with the props to set the table of a perfectly-balanced visual diet. Still hungry? Check out our recent release Visual Feast or our classic title The Still Life
