The Modular House is Made Entirely of Cardboard

Let’s face it: as populations boom and resources dwindle, the need for sustainable housing solutions approaches an all-time high. The creative makers at Amsterdam’s Fiction Factory tackled the problem head on by designing an eco-friendly modular house. The Wikkelhouse, as its affectionately known, uses layered cardboard to create a sturdy but sustainable home that can be produced en-masse. As each Wikkelhouse is built from a number of segments, the floorpan is fully customizable and can include a kitchen, a bathroom, and other finishing touches.
