Madero Café by Taller KEN

An Open-Air Burst of Color in Guatemala City
Posted by Gestalten—05/2017

As a late spring is still blossoming, the forthcoming forecast of summer sun weighs heavy on our minds, and we’re dreaming of a trip to Madero Café in Guatemala City. The open-air cafe offers a balmy retreat from the sun, with no solid barriers dividing the interior space from the exterior elements. The Taller KEN team developed the easy, breezy, and beautiful touch of the tropics through the interior stylings. The luscious greenery is sustainable as well: teal tanks collect, store, and distribute rainwater to the palms and moss that accent the colorful space.

Madero Café’s vibrant and vivacious interior design is just one of the many examples of eateries that pair tasty courses with mouthwatering visuals. See more in our book Let’s Go Out Again
