Gestalten teams up with ArtCenter College of Design to host the workshop Designing Disruption guided by Javier Verdura, Director of Product Design at Tesla Motors in Berlin, February 19-20, 2016.
The workshop is the inaugural edition of our Creative Leadership Series. This hands-on workshop explores disruptive change that is driven by design through the example of Tesla Motors. Currently in the spotlight as the most successful independent automaker in the electric car market, Tesla challenges the energy infrastructure and the automotive industry as a whole by refusing to accept the status quo of manufacturing, functionality, design, and even the way cars are sold.
Creating disruptive ideas is not the tough part, it’s implementing them. Because disruptive innovations and technologies ruffle feathers and disrupt adjacent businesses and agendas, the greatest challenge lies in putting them into practice and making them part of the norm.
Guided by Javier Verdura, Director of Product Design at Tesla Motors, and a team of seasoned ArtCenter educators, participants will practice using creative tools to conceive disruptive ideas and develop strategies to actually implement them in their own professional contexts.
Please note that the event will be held at Gestalten Space, rather than Gestalten Pavilion as previously stated.
The workshops are tailored to creatives and business leaders: Creatives who want to learn how to approach business problems. And business leaders who want to learn how to facilitate the creative process.
What you will gain by participating:
- Learn from one of the most inspiring and trending creative personalities with an established reputation in product design.
- Practice hands-on creative strategies to implement disruptive ideas that will drive your personal career.
- Earn a certificate for successful completion of this creative hands-on workshop.
